Security Patrol OfficerTitle: Security Patrol OfficerWork Location: Hyattsville, MDSalary Range: $18.50/hrJob Summary – Security Patrol Officer (7:00 PM – 5:00 AM Shift)We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Patrol Officer to join our team for an overnight patrol shift, Friday-Sunday (7:00 PM – 5:00 AM). This role requires a strong, safety-focused driver who can effectively patrol assigned areas during nighttime hours while maintaining a visible security presence. The Patrol Officer is responsible for protecting property, assets, and residents by conducting mobile patrols, identifying potential risks, and responding to incidents in a timely manner. The ideal candidate demonstrates sound judgment, integrity, and the ability to work independently.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct vehicle patrols of assigned communities, properties, or routes throughout the shiftMaintain a high-visibility presence, especially during overnight hours, to deter criminal or suspicious activitySafely operate a patrol vehicle in compliance with all traffic laws and company policiesMonitor entrances, exits, and common areas during patrolsIdentify and address safety hazards, suspicious behavior, or unauthorized individualsRespond promptly to incidents, alarms, or service callsIssue warnings or coordinate the removal of trespassers when necessaryComplete detailed daily activity reports and incident reportsCommunicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and, when necessary, local law enforcementQualificationsStrong driving skills with a clean driving record (required)Previous experience in security, patrol, or public safety preferredValid Security Guard License (as required by state regulations)High school diploma or GEDAbility to work independently and make sound decisions in low-visibility or overnight conditionsExcellent observation, situational awareness, and attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsProfessional demeanor with a high level of integrity and reliabilityComfortable working outdoors and in a mobile patrol environment for extended periodsAdditional RequirementsAbility to work a consistent, Friday - Sunday, 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM patrol shiftMust be dependable, punctual, and responsiveAbility to use mobile reporting tools or apps for patrol documentationIf you're a dependable professional who takes pride in safe driving, proactive patrol, and maintaining secure environments—especially during overnight hours—this role offers an opportunity to make a direct impact every shift.
